Law and Cybersecurity: Regulatory Proposals to Protect Privacy in the Digital Age

In the current digital era, protecting privacy has become a fundamental challenge in the legal field. The unstoppable advancement of technology has led to increasingly sophisticated and omnipresent digital threats, putting the security and confidentiality of personal data at risk. This article thoroughly examines existing cybersecurity and privacy laws, aiming to identify regulatory gaps and propose measures to strengthen the protection of personal data in the digital environment. Through a qualitative and subjective approach, the research explores the complex regulatory landscape, evaluating both the strengths and weaknesses of existing regulations. Beyond a simple review of laws, it seeks to understand the challenges and opportunities that arise at the intersection of law and cybersecurity. New perspectives and regulatory approaches are proposed to adapt to the rapid evolution of digital threats, with the goal of effectively protecting privacy in the digital era.
