The current reality, framed by technological advancements and the development of Artificial Intelligence, has established new forms of interaction among individuals across all dimensions of being. In this context, higher education institutions bear the responsibility to create learning environments that stay at the forefront of scientific advancements. Furthermore, from a human perspective, there's an evident need for an education that fosters soft skills such as critical thinking, innovation, teamwork, systemic thinking, conflict resolution, and more. In line with this, in 2023, a collaboration between Universidad César Vallejo (Peru) and Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios (Colombia) launched the COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) project. This initiative aimed to develop soft skills and strengthen research processes within the course titled "Analysis of Research Outcomes". The primary goal was to promote internationalization of the curriculum as a means of redefining inclusive, equitable, and innovative educational practices. The COIL methodology was applied, and a qualitative research method was employed to describe and explain the skills acquired through two data collection instruments: 1) documentary analysis and 2) questionnaire. The research findings suggest that the mirrored classes taught using the COIL methodology facilitated meaningful experiences in the development of intercultural skills, digital competencies, and significant learnings in educational research.
