The scientific article addresses the importance of direct attention to students in schools, both public and private, to protect their physical, mental, and social integrity through the care provided by nursing professionals. It emphasizes the need to treat chronic conditions such as type I or II diabetes, hypertension, renal failure, obesity, as well as acute conditions like respiratory, dermatological, gastrointestinal issues, among others, that may arise during the school years and affect student performance. Additionally, emotional or neurodevelopmental conditions such as anxiety, depression, hyperactivity disorders, and autism are mentioned, which also require attention from the psychopedagogical team and school nurses to ensure an uninterrupted school year. The importance of providing quality care, collaborating in the growth and development of the student population, and ensuring survival in emergency situations within the educational environment are highlighted. It is concluded that school health nursing should adopt a comprehensive, holistic, and humanistic program for all age groups enrolled in the school.
