The Duty to Have a Good Healthy Lifestyle for Boys, Girls and Adolescents in the Province of Veraguas

The objective of these study is describe the different healthy lifestyles that children and adolescents in the province of Veraguas should have. Mixed descriptive study, in which 30 respondents, including boys, girls and adolescents. Physical activity was evaluated using questionnaires for the basic educational stage of schoolchildren; A survey was applied that measured the knowledge and practices of schoolchildren on oral health, hand washing, consumption of fruits and vegetables and postural care, among others, of which it was demonstrated much beyond what one thinks, since the technology shows that it has taken over 40% of them. 25% of students recognize that the maximum weight of the bag is 10% of their body weight; 15% change their toothbrush every 3 months, as recommended by experts, and 20% brush their teeth between 2 and 3 times a day. 16% consume healthy foods, 4% responded that they exercise, 10% consume junk foods and 10% responded that they consume drinking water for their health. Based on the results obtained, it can be said that the lifestyle of the boys, girls and young people of this general primary education group can be considered acceptable, since 91.09% of the nutritional status classification is found in normal state. However, some healthy lifestyle variables stand out as protective factors in young people, such as the consumption of fruits, vegetables and dairy products, reducing the consumption of fatty products and good oral and personal health.
