Abstract

Indigenous pedagogy (IP), are learning processes that derive from pre-colonial approaches to teaching and learning that emphasize the development of the student as a whole person, where learning is promulgated through experience, learning across the land, recognize the important role that elders and traditional peoples play in the transmission of knowledge. In this context, this article details how IP has served as a way to strengthen “el buen vivir” in the Nasa indigenous communities of southern Colombia. With reference to the methodological, a qualitative and descriptive approach was used based on the bibliographic review of scientific articles on IP, "good living" and ancestral education in Nasa indigenous peoples in Colombia. In final ideas, it stands out how IP through educational projects in the Nasa community has reinforced the concept of "good living", given that through educational initiatives that have rescued and highlighted aspects such as ancestral values, oral and written customs, language, As well as the care of nature and the use of it as traditional medicine, it has been possible to strengthen the "good life" in the Nasa population.
